“Silk Road” International University of Tourism (SUIT) in cooperation with Beijing International Studies University is pleased to host Annual 10th International Conference on Foreign Language Teaching and Applied Linguistics (FLTAL) which will take place on December 21-22, 2020 at “Silk Road” International University of Tourism (SUIT) in Samarkand, Uzbekistan. The FLTAL Conference aims to bring together researchers, practitioners, and educators with interests in language teaching and linguistics at all levels from around the world. The theme of the FLTAL 2020 conference, “Creative Multilingual Identities: The Influence of Multilingual Identity on Foreign Language Learning” is designed to attract the research communities to promote connections between theory and practice and explore different perspectives on the application of research findings into practice. The conference considers all aspects of the linguistic and sociolinguistic competences and practices of bi-/multilingual speakers who cross existing social and linguistic boundaries, adopting or adapting themselves to new and overlapping linguistic spaces. We invite papers in all areas of research in bi-/multilingualism, whether or not linked directly to the overarching conference theme, including, but not limited to, linguistics, sociolinguistics, psycholinguistics, neurolinguistics, clinical linguistics, education, bi-/multilingual societies. Plenary Speakers: This conference invites papers that investigate foreign language teaching and learning in the following streams:
Online Venue: “Silk Road” International University of Tourism, Samarkand/Uzbekistan Abstracts (in English only) should include the following elements: (1) the name and surname of the author(s); (2) the affiliation of the author(s); (3) the email address(es) of the author(s); (4) the title of the presentation (within 15 words); (5) a clear description of the aims, methodology and expected results of the research or project to be reported in the presentation (within 250-300 words). Abstracts (application form) should be sent electronically, as email attachments in Excel file to the Conference’s email address: fltalproceedings@gmail.com, with the “FLTAL 2020 abstract form” as the subject. Abstracts will be evaluated according to the originality of the theme, clear methodology and theoretical framework, and scholarly contribution of the research.
